God is good!  I love how corny the saying is. I lived my whole life a non-Christian, and now I get to do all the annoying things Christians do! But it’s not so annoying when I do it, right? Maybe this whole time I was just envious..jealous.. Christianity was like this club that I never ever thought I would be part of, so I judged it instead, but now I understand–God is good.  Praise God. Jesus is King.  

Today’s Jesus Calling was very helpful to me.  I’m sitting here next to our 4th dog, drinking my 2nd cup of coffee, avoiding exercise, even though exercise will help remove this layer of 40 pounds that I want off of my body.  

God’s message today was spot on…weaning me from other dependencies.. I find so much comfort in this material world–I had to after denying God for 32 years.  I turn to God in many moments, but I want to continue devoting myself to Him! Early mornings are my way of starting–waking up early, drinking a cup (or two) of coffee, and listening to what God wants for me.
