I’m pretty okay with the way life is… I sit here in a Starbucks shop near my home, drinking a pistachio latte. My husband and kids still barely awake.

Today is the SuperBowl. Plans of making lasagna and cheesecake and watching the game at a friends house.

My dad will be joining us, bringing a variety of barbecued meats.

It’s a nice life.

“Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.”

To be present and let go of what was…

“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”

What do I need courage for today? Probably getting my butt outside and running a few miles. I have been LAZY!

“Instead of dashing headlong towards your goal, let me set the pace.”

God, I struggle with this!!! I so often take matters into my own hands. I am still learning how to follow you. Help me slow down, God. Help me trust, pause, and tune in.

Life without you was scary, and I got so used to doing things my way.

I am happy to turn myself over to you, God.

I’m sure your pace of life will be much more enjoyable. I’m so quick to react and jump in.

Writing connects me to you, Jesus. The world’s troubles melt away and it’s just me and you. Thank you for the gift of word, Jesus.

Thank you for making my dreams come true—I cannot wait for my first book to be published!

The most marvelous gift of all. You’ve blessed me in so many ways.

My heart is with you, Jesus.

Have a blessed day, to you, the reader. There’s nothing like living life with God by your side ♥️
