Today I turn the age of thirty-five

Never in my life have I felt more urgency to live my life

I know that at sixty, this year won’t sound so old,

But today, in this moment, it feels quite bold.

35 is a prime number,

Wait, no it isn’t!

It’s definitely odd

A year I have rendered

I wonder what little Holly

Would think of 35?

I am married with kids

And met my forever man

I love our home

That was always the plan

My career is taking off

I’m even publishing a book

My Little Holly would be totally shook

To know that she’d grow to be an author someday

Change people’s lives, and still time to play.

Sweet, little Holly, there were many mishaps along the way

Some of them scary, but needless to say

We made it here, darling

The sky is the limit

My sweet little Holly

We finally did it!

Now enjoy this day

And make several wishes

Today is your day

Ignore any bitches

I guess we are talking to teenage Holly now

She’s proud of you, for sure

But she has a raised brow

Why does life have to have such big bumps?

How will I get through it?

I’m scared of the humps.

Your life will turn and twist,

But it straightens back out.

Just hold on tight

Don’t lose sight of your self

You’ll learn a whole lot, and sometimes it will hurt

You’ll even live briefly in a small, little yurt.

But do not be scared, young Holly, my dear

Your life becomes amazing

You’ll meet the man of your dreams in your thirty third year.

And that man will show you the love you’ve been waiting for

Even better, he will introduce you to The Lord.

I know you may think it is unthinkable

But you will find Jesus and your life becomes unsinkable.

You’ll cling close to God and your forever man

And then your life

Will become marvelously grand.

All those mishaps and screw ups

Won’t seem to matter

You’ll start every day

With a lovestruck pitter patter

Being in love is your favorite,

Your heart singing songs

Enjoy every second

It’s where you belong.

That closes my trip

Down memory lane

Today is quite beautiful

In every single way.

The end of another cup
